Stephen Palmer and Jimmy Murakami in Opéra imaginaire

A while ago I posted about two of the segments in the 1993 international anthology series Opéra imaginaire. Here are some stills from the other two British contributions to the series, starting with Stephen Palmer's Cinderella (set to an extract from rossini's La Cenerentola).

And here we have Jimmy Murakami's take on Au fond du Temple Saint from Georges Bizet's The Pearl Fishers. It was made with the aid of Cosgrove Hall and Mike Hibbert Animation.

Incidentally, the motion blur visible in some of these stills is part of the original film's technique, which consists of the treated live action frames slowly fading from one to the next.
