I Love the 70s, 80s and 90s openings

A trip through the latter portion of the twentieth century with the opening sequences to the BBC series I Love the 70s, I Love the 80s and I Love the 90s, which aired in 2000 and 2001. Seventies adverts: Space 1999 lollies and 2000 AD comics

A couple of science fiction-flavoured ads from the seventies. First, one for an ice lolly tying in with Space 1999.

"The amazing new lolly from Lyons Maid, Space 1999."

"Icy lime flavour outside, oozy red centre."

"Space 1999: with free picture cards from Lyons Maid."

And here's a 1977 advert for the first issue of the comic 2000 AD.

"Greetings! I am Tharg."

"I bring you a galactic new comic, 2000 AD, with adventures from the future."

"Including the new invincible Dan Dare!"

"Also a genuine Thargian space spinner, free."

"Get 2000 AD, now."
