In 1987 Ealing Animation made a series of at least six shorts entitled Up Side Town for Channel 4. The cartoons were fairly conventional silent slapstick comedies, but that's what makes them stick out - Channel 4 is noted for its experimental animation, so the fact that the channel was at one point interested in commissioning far more traditional cartoons is interesting.These screengrabs come from the only two episodes that I have access to, Chain Reaction and Sleepless Days. Both were directed by Andy Walker.
