Hamilton in The Music Festival

This 1962 film is the second of two cartoons made by Halas & Batchelor about Hamilton the Musical Elephant. Harold Whitaker and Tony Guy animated the short, while Gil Potter provided the backgrounds.

 

Halas & Batchelor's The Candlemaker

Something festive, here. The Candlemaker is a 1957 short directed by John Halas and Joy Batchelor for the United Lutheran Church in the US. It was animated by Brian Borthwick, Reg Lodge and Vic Bevis with designs by Philip Stapp; Stapp also co-wrote the film with Joy Batchelor.

The film tells the story of a man who makes candles for the church, and of his son who is too busy playing with his pet mouse to learn to make candles properly himself.
